Words and water

This is the first part of a series of water-inspired posts. First, a lot of new thinking has come from the confirmation of Masaru Emoto, a Japanese scientist, that everything, from what we put inside, include the thoughts we tell ourselves, have a physical impact on our cellular make-up. It’s hard to let go of inner demons; they were holding you when no one else would

There are many articles on psychic protection and negativity, but sometimes the one thing we neglect to look at is the negativity within us. When we protect ourselves, we also protect the old patterns and ways of doing things; some of behaviors comfort us long after we have tried to eliminate them, such as smoking, overeating, gambling, overspending, other physical indulgences and unusual relationships with spirits and entities when we are lonely.

Six years ago I was talking to my Pakistani partner in Taiwan. A strange woman came into his coffee shop and started talking animatedly about feeling touched intimately at night by unseen forces and occasionally having erotic dreams. When we looked into it, it appeared that that the apartment she recently moved into had an apparition, a man that killed himself in the building. Apparently he hadn’t left and, through this woman’s curiosity, started haunting her. She had lost weight, was starting to get depressed and didn’t have a job. We gave her the water test and indeed the negativity was rampant.

While we could cleanse the apartment, something about the woman’s behavior triggered us. My partner consulted his healing family in Pakistan and we found that she was the one summoning the ghost, as it provided endless hours of fascination and chat for her. In her loneliness, SHE was the one keeping it housebound, to which we threw up our hands and resigned the assignment.

In many instances, as much as people say they want to release their inner demons, once they are free of them they don’t know what to do with the free time, the lightness or the inability to block off unpleasant feelings. Things might go well for a few months. Then the spirit returns and speaks to them, and if the individual has not looked at the pattern and/or relationship with a strong desire to leave it, it isn’t hard for them to be deceived back into the relationship with their demons again. It could be for as stupid a reason as revenge, vanity, desire for power, or company while lost and lonely, as the story above.

How do you know when your inner demons are back

Your habits become slack. Sometimes you become overly or under-concerned about your physical appearance and hygiene. You grow depressed and start having negative mental dialogues that seem abusive or forceful rather than calm and encouraging. You’re drawn back into self-destructive binges — and inappropriate excesses, that bring you in a cycle of self-hatred and pessimism. Often there is a complete personality change. In some cases, this is involuntary; in others, it’s accompanied by a self-induced belief that an individual is becoming his favorite icon and transcending his previous personality.

Nonphysical demons are no less different than living demons. They are charming. They ply us with flattery, lies and false promises when we are weak; and they never leave us alone even when we ask them to leave. They will keep tempting us, especially during holidays and just as we are almost done letting them go. They keep us in neverending mental dialogues of past memories and unresolved angst.

Frequenting hot spots, picking up unexpected guests

Especially if you still visit etheric hot zones, such as graveyards, bars, war zones, and sites of fatal accidents. When I was an archaeologist, I used to have constant run-ins with disincarnate human entities. You can feel them by cold it makes your skin run; and they are as real as being in a room with a corpse. It is an unpleasant feeling, and if you do not have a spiritual practice where you can invoke a Higher Power to dispel them, they can attach to your aura. We’ve had several clients, who, after visiting battle sites, have come in for consultations. At first, some seem like friendly ghosts; hiding in a vulnerable form, but then bring in a host of other negative energies.

Why healing sometimes is not a one-shot deal?

In many addiction cases, the pain is real, hidden and brings up shame. It’s not a mechanical process that releases the trauma but the acceptance of others that frees people from the long term suffering. Understanding (and reclaiming parts of the memory that have been pushed out of consciousness) takes time and careful excavation of the soul layers; it sometimes even takes years, depending on how ingrained the pattern has been, and it also takes time, supported by a thoughtful counselor/partner, to help the individual learn and stabilize new healthier behaviors.

Sometimes the hardest part lies in finding the right environment to articulate the plausible causes of trauma, as Western society sometimes does not have a sufficient vocabulary to describe the strange, eery hauntings and inner turmoil. Practitioners in the West tend to invalidate the experiences of the paranormal; rather than examine it for what the individual is going through in his or her as a result of their ancestral lines or  current lifetime lessons.

The other reason: releasing demons is a stubborn affair

Not all wounds are visible; they are hidden, and only haunt us in moments of solitude. We sometimes have given up on clearing our demons, because we have, for such a long time, slowly become ingrained with their negative behaviors and now don’t know how to exist with these crutches. That, they go unperceived and silent, makes them a deadly killer.

Slowly but surely, you are dying inside but there are visible signs of struggle or difficulty to the outside world. This is most common of long-term anxiety, depression and a host of other self-destructive habits and tendencies.

Therefore, when you seek treatment do not distress if you suddenly relapse back into old behaviors. It’s more common that you think. Sometimes it takes 16 relapses before you finally find the stress to leave the oppressor of your tortured soul. Sometimes, like me, it takes 17 years to heal certain deep-rooted mindsets inherited through your ancestral line.

It’s hard to let go of inner demons; when they were holding you when no one else would.

Before you embark on any particular program, you should be prepared to look at your own thoughts (and how they contribute to a negative state). Often when we attribute the Negativity to forces outside ourselves, we neglect to rinse our own inner cup of energies (and behaviors that keep us stuck in unproductive mental states of suffering).

This isn’t an article to go into the various kinds of spirit attachments but to explain that it is as common to catch a demonic being as it is to catch a physical pathogen, such as bacteria, viruses, and parasites. If your motives are not entirely healthy, no amount of regular, self-monitoring routine for spiritual and mental hygiene can remove what you are unwilling to let go of.

When you are ready to let them go, stop talking to them. It’s as simple as that, but it could be difficult if you have no one else.

In the next few weeks, we will provide posts about psychic protection that might work for you if you are ready to step into a new self.

Father time: Only you can turn the page

By Yvonne. Saturn went Retrograde on March 27, and fully goes backward on April 6 at 27 degrees Sagittarius to 21 degrees on August 27, 2017. Those with planets in Sagittarius, Pisces, Gemini and Virgo in these degrees will be feeling somewhat frustrated. Restrictions are the province of Saturn, and when Saturn applies itself with 10 degrees of any planets, you will find delays, more responsibility, and discipline.

If Saturn impinges on you, there is a tendency to grow up and be more mature about matters. Even face reality — and look at the clock. Becoming aware of old age, our career goals and forces us to put a methodical, purposeful structure to those relationships, values and goals we want to solidify in our lives.

In Sagittarius we are called to walk the talk. Perhaps in the past we have absorbed much advice and philosophy about how we ideally should live. Now it is time to put these changes in motion within our daily lives.

On the positive side, if you have a tendency to flounder a push from Saturn in any direction will focus your energies. As things become limited, you will choose more carefully the activities, individuals and paths you want to be involved with. Ambition is also a Saturn characteristic.

Depending on where Saturn falls on your chart, you will be called one last time to not make the same mistakes; or learn the hard way. Use this transit to clean up old business and master the process.

Your body’s energetic outlets (or batteries)

Every evolving individual needs to learn how to clear and cleanse their #chakras. #energy #aura #telepathynation

What is a chakra?

The word ‘chakra’ is derived from the sanskrit word meaning ‘wheel’. Literally translated from the Hindi it means ‘Wheel of spinning Energy’. A chakra is like a whirling, vortex like, powerhouse of energy. Within our bodies you have seven of these major energy centres and many more minor ones.

How evolved you are doesn’t relate to how intelligent you are

Recently I had a conversation with a friend. We were talking on Facebook and I realized this is something that I should blog about. #telepathynation #enlightenment #awakening

I spend time talking to people of all ranks and backgrounds.

Recently I realize that sometimes I enjoy talking to outside field workers more than I do, office workers. There are a variety of reasons.

The most prevalent one is: privacy. I’m still assessing which individuals are open enough to share my alternative life path. Not being the trusting type, I tend to be introverted, focused on observing people.

The other is energetic: Most people have ambitions to build financial wealth, get promoted, buy a home, have children, or retire wealthy. Being an old soul, I have learned and long stopped obsessing over these issues. I also sometimes sense that some people do not want to be fully actualized. They soldier on to get with their day jobs without making any changes. This leads them to carry themselves around with a “cup” half-full both in attitude and energetically. They would take the wisdom I’d see about them and do nothing with it. It’s like those mediums, who channel important messages from beyond, and the receiver only wants the answer to their inane question. Or worse, to make your broader observation fit their small reality.

People who are more in touch with Nature

Workers who spend time outside seem not only more #balanced but they are able, through their hair, eyes and skin, to take in Vitamin D and universal energy. As a result they seem to age slower than their office counterparts, and sport a growth mindset when it comes to knowledge and lifestyle of the more spiritually evolved.

img_3493

Two individuals that exhibit this come to mind. One is my gas attendant. Prior to working at my local gas station, he held a middle management position in customer service for the gas company. On my weekly re-fueling trips, he would share stories about how you just don’t know what going on until you step outside the office. There is so much more people will share with you that they probably are too angry or frustrated to share over the phone or at the store. From that, he developed an excellent people sense and history of dealing with a variety of souls and their life lessons. You can sense a much deeper understanding from this man. We don’t need to share lengthy discussions with deeply philosophical memes or exchange ideas on spiritual literature. No, it’s more saying the profound things at the right time. This is a person who observes for a living and gets information directly from the source. The empirical data gives him a wisdom about people and life cycles that gives him a broader perspective on life, and one that obviously keeps him young and vibrant — even at 68 years old.

The other would be one of the FEDEX messengers. While noticing me watching a video on ancient yogic breathing, we started talking about aging and fitness. He even shared with me a new brand of #water called AquaHydrate. I learned something new about a drink, which is supposed to be non-flouridated, and thus better for your pineal gland. Surprisingly, he knew what that was and even knew about the matrix and societal brainwashing we have all been through. All that, and he delivers packages.

It’s all in where you invest your mind at leisure.

How much does the grey eminence really know?

So I stated on Facebook: The more evolved people really are not the ones you would suspect. A friend of mine commented in a very insightful way, which I will share with you.

He is a prodigious artist from upstate New York who has seen all ends of the New York City night life, from the lowly to very effete. He said:

“There is a quote I can’t remember who it was but it goes like this ‘what wisdom we have lost for knowledge, what knowledge we have lost for information.’ … Education in this country is misnomer.. liberal arts, English, history, philosophy, archaeology, Greek and latin, were the areas that taught people to think… Current things like business administration, even the law, are essentially the replacement of trade schools that taught plumbing and welding etc.. that is why you meet people with college degrees or advance degrees and they don’t seem to know shit… the truck driver usually knows his ass from his elbow and the MBA seems confused about that.”

Even though I’m not sure that is the cause, I agree with his conclusion. Somehow intelligence doesn’t equate with conscious evolution. Isn’t that ironic? Considering we should be using our smarts to survive, I asked the Universe why the smartest individuals are so steeped in such ass backward ways?

A few days later, the answer came in the quote above from the Internet and I began researching David Suggs and his content. An awakening, indeed, isn’t for everyone. As he writes, it’s more the aptitude for soul searching and truth that you will find Earth’s enlightened souls. There is some truth to that.

Most wealthy or outwardly successful people probably have no need to search deeper. Their ways have earned them material success. There probably is no need to look deeper if you are the accumulation cycle of your consciousness. We’ve all gone through this; that is the striving hard, the learning to be successful with money as the end.

But then surprisingly, from individuals who come from poverty to those who have come from privilege alike, once they attain their goals, it doesn’t seem enough. A top performing salesperson notes that his superiors don’t look any happier. A millionaire banker celebrates his milestone only to find himself miserable and alone in a prestigious ski chalet. What is it about these individuals that make them search for more?

Many point to emptiness as the leading cause of unhappiness. The soul realizes that there is vast amount it is not expressing, while mired in earning a living, and thus it begins to reflect upon itself, turning all things upside down in its search for meaning and continuous improvement of a less material form.

That really is the definition of evolution — that of consciousness; and while I don’t want to judge negatively, those who have not reached this point in their awareness, I do notice very clearly sometimes that the most intelligent are lacking in the wisdom of previous generations’ intelligentsia.

The other part of my answer came in an article about how our society is drugging our visionaries and prophets. From Earthchild.com:

“Were she alive today, Sylvia Plath would be on anti-depressants. Salvador Dali would be on anti-psychotics. Beethoven would be on Lithium. Newton would likely be committed as well as heavily drugged for his multiple, pervasive mental illness symptoms.”

Not to mention scientific geniuses, such as Tesla, Copernicus, etc. would probably need to be institutionalized. That, too, is how we treat autistic children. On a spectrum they vibrate differently with radically different skills but are geniuses on another level. The answers keep flooding in from Suggs’ daily posts. We honor the normal individual so much that we are willing to go on a witch hunt for the open minded, free thinking individuals who challenge society’s norms. First, on a community level; next, institutionally, next as a public health concern, making for mediocre solutions to world problems, and depriving us of leadership for this vastly challenging new world.

I’m writing this on the 70th anniversary of the mass genocide of the intelligentsia of my countrymen in Taiwan by the Chiang Kaishek forces. That was a forced movement, in which many geniuses were murdered. Now that violence has been eradicated in most First world nations, the warfare against the above average individual is conducted in a systemic, state-supported medical methodologies, from vaccines to pharmaceutical drugs. Just as with Taiwan, schools inculcate what the ruling elite want of an orderly society willing to consume all that it produces at an insane pace that profits the few.

Either way, increasingly more it is those who do not complete the college system or who educate themselves in esoteric sciences, that you find the more evolved.

That is just my opinion.

You probably have radically different experiences and can feel free let me know what you think.

What happens on earth when celestial orbs get in each other’s light

By Yvonne. On February 26, 2017 at 6:25 a.m we will experience a solar eclipse in 8 degrees Pisces. Here are some ideas on how to flow into it:

What are eclipses?

Eclipses are events when one celestial orb, such as the earth, blocks another and creates darkness upon the earth. The one coming up involves the moon coming in between the sun and earth; being annular, it will totally block the sun from view and is considered one of the most powerful events in the year.

What does this mean spiritually?

In many ancient cultures, including Christianity, eclipses are often feared for what might happen. It is a time when the veil between worlds is the thinnest and when ghosts can penetrate our world 1,000 more times, creating all kinds of mischief and mayhem. Even Jesus’ crucifixion occurred in a lunar eclipse where temporarily it seemed as if God had abandoned the world.

Whenever we have solar or lunar eclipses, it amplifies the type of celestial event involved. For instance, a full moon eclipse makes a Full Moon even more emotional; a new moon eclipse makes the New Moon even more eventful when the planets align. In general we experience 4-6 eclipses per year. These times mark significant changes that create opportunities for our soul to grow, especially if these eclipses touch on our personal planets by transit.

Hidden truths surface

During these times we experience strong emotions and insights. Messages from beyond come through loud and clear. Whether it is pointing out the true colors of our friends or the lost cause nature of a false hope or endeavors of ours or something else, an eclipse brings light to that which we have ignored or been in denial about. Not all eclipses are negative: some individuals experience great joy during the solar eclipse, especially if they have done their inner work. But most eclipses usually begin with heavy emotions that we cannot ignore.

The more intensely we feel — especially when the feelings aren’t ours and are unpleasant, the more we have to pay attention to energy exchanges between ourselves and others. Is it in balance? Have we neglected a relationship? Was what we contracted with others still in alignment with our sense of fairness and truth? Are we too busy taking care of other people’s needs, we have neglected our own self care? These are all issues that come to the fore of our consciousness to be acted upon.

With a Pisces solar eclipse, all the negative aspects of Neptune must be faced and transmuted. This includes our tendency to live vicariously through others and not tend to our well-being; to live in a fantasy world to avoid dealing with mundane realities; to use addictions, including gambling, sex, drugs, and overspending, to soothe ourselves and avoid reality; to feel the negative feelings and despondency of others; and to not deal with our problems in a practical manner.

It is a time when we get fed up with how we are misunderstood, unappreciated or undervalued (especially for our views and opinions on Facebook and other places). Do we want to continue to be a doormat? Or do we want to take the bull by the horns and walk away from people and situations that no longer serve our visions. We have a choice, and the sooner we embrace the feelings that come up and take action, the clearer we are about our workable choices and what steps to take to move forward.

Don’t go out; eat or drink; meditate and read holy words

Since Earthly practitioners use these cycles to do rituals, the atmosphere is charged with egoic intentions and chaotic energy. Some of the dark magic is harmful. For this reason, ancient peoples always advised staying close to home and increasing your level of spiritual protection during eclipses.

It is a time commonly used for inner work and dealing with our issues. If a situation is sufficiently toxic enough to us, we have to face that certain people or circumstances may have served their purpose and it is time to let them go. It is a time for endings, especially during lunar eclipses. We do a final accounting, pay for the time used, find the impetus to cut the ties and move on.

Since our intuition is heightened we also can see through deception and fantasy states that might normally keep us in negative habits. Random events happen during eclipses to shake us from our cherished illusions and make us accept the reality of the challenge and our limitations in fulfilling it. Sorrows deepen to the point where we are forced to act. Unlike the Mercury retrograde, which happens automatically, the raw truths unearthed during eclipses usually result in new behaviors and adjustments in the next 18-24 months to come.

Once we remove things that no longer serve our Higher Self, we need to surround ourselves with positive energy and relationships that help us stay strong, rather than refill the void with a different substance or distraction. In order to renew our souls, it is beneficial to align ourselves with healthier rituals that make us feel wholesome and uplifted. Staying a frequency above the lower astral realms where wandering ghosts and negative thought forms chatter is critical to avoiding unneeded entanglement during these times. It is therefore a good time for singing, praying, saying a mantra, doing a spiritual practice, journal writing, laughing, clapping, clearing spaces, and connecting with other likeminded souls to protect yourself during eclipses. Once we have shed aspects of ourselves that we have outgrown, we can see it from a higher perspective and, as Susan Miller says, get to a “new level of maturity”; thus using these events to evolve to a higher, more fulfilling state.

Eclipses force us to move forward

Events happen whether we like them or not. If it’s a solar eclipse, our careers — for better or worse–may come into the spotlight or achieve an outcome worthy of public recognition. Or they may come under attack, and we have to reconsider how we deal with authority figures and men. During a lunar eclipse, our relationship with women, including our female friends, mother, wife, grandmother, professional relationships, clients, and business associations, come into focus. We may make new friends and lose old connections; come into power struggles, or find ourselves assisting one.

When we encounter problems, we might learn what brings us the greatest self-nurturance and learn to love ourselves more. Pain can be the breakthrough needed for us to drop unhealthful ways and finally become our True Self. We begin to apply a different level of awareness, unity and kindness to ourselves and others.

It is during these periods that it is a good time to reconnect with Mother Earth. We pick up from the astral plane so many vibrations that are not ours when the veils are thin. For the three to 48 hours that the eclipse is in effect, earthing is recommended to release the fear, anxiety and feelings of scarcity, that we might come in contact with when our insecurities, ignored old hurts and unresolved issues are commingled with the Collective, especially during the super emotionally spongey Pisces moon.

It is not advisable to start or end projects during lunar or solar eclipses.

Just as Mercury retrograde puts us in a review mode, eclipses make us defenseless against all the emotions around us and make us slow down to take in outer world feedback. It takes time to integrate the information for our inner process of healing. However, once it is felt on a soul level, we can start to slowly accept what is and act accordingly.

By working with the cycles of Nature we can make eclipses work for us. Email us at enchantments.store@gmail.com for astrology readings. We can help identify underlying themes; unblock energies, interferences and energy imbalances as well as uncord stubborn, unhealthy attachments.

Your heart and my heart are old friends

This morning while working out, I was introduced to another woman, and she immediately declared, “I know you.” We racked brains together to figure out how but couldn’t come up with how. I laughed and thought, this is hilarious. It’s Valentine’s Day and it’s time to write about an age old favorite, the “old soul.”

How do you know a stranger when you never met them?

The soul is ageless. Unlike our physical body it transcends time. As we go from one incarnation to another, we fall asleep to our previous lifetimes and part of an Infinite Consciousness, and start over in a new body.

Many of the new children (those born after 1970)—crystal, indigos, rainbow, etc. –remember who they once were, because we have made it acceptable to remember these lifetimes, and welcome these children as bearers of light to remind us; however, most of us who are older have been conditioned to suppress and deny these memories.

Recovering lost memories

One of the first things my teacher did with me when we started working together was: she made me recall my childhood memories. She rolled the film, as if she and I were passive observers watching a movie, and she bore witness to some of my deepest secrets and mystical moments. As if we were time travelers, we went back to a grove of trees when I was five years old in Longwood Gardens, Pa. A family friend was getting married, and I remember getting lost and feeling sad that day. Even though I was a little girl, I experienced her happy day with a flush of other memories from another experience that was so vivid, I felt so much older than my 5 year old body; and, true to date, these past life experiences have kept me from being married.

Another time I remember daydreaming in my dad’s station wagon, and looking up into the clouds, I could interpret the formations, and downloaded memories so sophisticated, I felt like I knew my purpose and told myself that in this lifetime, it’d be better to be intelligent than beautiful. There was more information than that, but those moments faded as I didn’t know how to record them and when around adults that treat you like a child, you learn act in accordance to the societal role and the memories get pushed back and forgotten.

And that is why it’s so important to interact with others. Whatever your religious beliefs, we never stop running into people that remind us of who we are from some unknown connection that is unexplainable. Sort of like a déjà vu or parental figure or person from a recurring dream. If you believe that the soul migrates upon physical death, then the possibility of past lives makes a lot of sense; for there are moments of recognition that we can neither explain or logically understand with our human minds, but their interaction with us, help us recover lost pieces of our journey that we need to reclaim in order to become Whole. This relates to friends, teachers, coaches, strangers as well as lovers, and thus we can call any one a soul mate.

How do we recognize our soul mates?

A soul mate is a person that shares a common bond with you for the purpose of growing. It could be sister, a friend, a pet or a lover. Usually the bond is instinctual. You might even experience greater harmony with those outside your ethnic and family group. Sometimes you feel drawn to different time periods and cultures for no reason. Sometimes there is so much commonality that there almost seems no need to talk or overly explain. They somehow know us, as if we are two peas in a pod. There is no explaining why you both are so close, but it appears that in spite of outward differences, there are many deep ways this person mirrors some of our best and worst traits.

If you have been around for many lifetimes, you begin to see people and immediately place them into archetypes — whether it is a four or five element astrological system, an animal totem, a fairy or crystal or mineral. As Steven Bancarz explains in his The Mind Journal article entitled, “Five things only old souls can fully understand,” “this is because you have seen the archetype of that person before in a past life and are familiar with the general behavior and psychology of that archetype. You have interacted with thousands of people throughout the course of your soul’s history, so there is really no archetype you haven’t interacted with yet.” As we evolve, we simplify these traits to learn about others and the boundaries of our own selfhood with respect to them through exchanging, loving, and sharing hidden aspects of ourselves.

Some soulmates stay for a long time and become companions; others come and go, leaving us with pain and disappointment but also a gift of deeper compassion, understanding and sensitivity. We learn deeper whom we are compatible with; and we learn that relationships have many purposes.

Not all soul mates exist to fulfill us romantically.

Some soul mates come to help a person manifest a personality trait, a piece of art or a movement. Examples of people that get together for more than a romantic purpose are many. Bo Derek and her husband John Derek’s coupling helped mold her into a sex symbol. Another example is the relationship between Georgia O’Keefe and Alfred Stieglitz, the latter of which provided the financial support and promotion for her to receive acclaim as an artist. Another example is the spiritual partnership between Martin Luther king and Coretta Scott King. They each fortified each other and Coretta finished his legacy.

Certain traits do incline individuals to get along with each other; for that reason, we read the horoscope and marvel at how accurately it explains the quirks about our partner. Other times, our partners behave completely out of sync with the archetype, depending on which side of good and evil, he or she chooses to express. That said, we may not always be able choose the best partners but we can surely educate ourselves in choosing the right people to be more around with.

If you’re not with the One or lost someone, maybe you have to learn to be the ‘One’

All of us want our relationships to last an eternity; however, if our soul has signed up for great challenges and growth, it is possible that that destiny can only be fulfilled by phases (and different partners at each phase); periods of solitude; or even divorce, loss and betrayal.

When life becomes tough and you come in for a consultation and ask how could I have signed up for this? The only explanation is that your life story is meant to be a drama for others. Sometimes to fulfill the soul’s need for such an experience to grow, mature and heal some of its past life wounds, we go through wrenching events as well as positive ones. As Arnold Swartzenegger once said, when you ask for greatness, it “does not come from winning. Your struggles develop your strengths. When you go through hardships and decide not to surrender, that is strength.” Thus life produces the experiences that shape us into the individuals we aspire to become, and it’s up to us whether we become a victim of those circumstances or we learn to rise above.

Other times: life is going to happen to us regardless of our conscious control. For that, we sometimes have to acquiesce to a Higher Power and trust that, in some way, it is for our highest good.

If you want to actively moderate some of life’s dramas that are within our control, knowing the karmic patterns, in which you engage with certain individuals, can give you some insight into what you are experiencing and, if it’s a lesson you want to get over with, you can start taking action to resolve it. We may not be able to avoid certain types of people, jobs, illnesses, events, accidents or burdens, but we have, through many spiritual and psychological tools, to address unexplained fears, phobias and esteem issues that plague us from unsettled patterns from the past.

Each relationship is like a refining process. Our character becomes better defined and more durable; as we learn what can destroy us and what brings us back to joy and happiness. The more we see our relationships as a means to develop self-love, the more we can let go and enjoy the sometimes roller coaster ride that our soul mates take us, while our destiny with them unfolds and fulfills its purpose.

Fear not that there won’t be anyone out there for you.

Be it a new friend, a new lover or a new pet. Despite what Hollywood wants you believe, there is no One and Only soulmate; there are multiple soulmates in the journey of life. Maybe that might not give you comfort when you are in a dry spell or experiencing a long bout of loneliness; however, if your heart is open and you have done the work to address what might not gone right in the last relationship, you will find others.

As you work on becoming the right person, i.e. your authentic self, and putting yourself out there, law of attraction has to deliver true love to you with someone who appreciates your unique characteristics.

Conclusion

No matter how successful, painful or disappointing, soul mates come to remind us who we are and show us how to love ourselves. If we welcome the experience understanding the purpose together, soul mates can help us experience love without fear before we go back into the light we came from.

Why I do what I do

Why I created a store called Enchantments in Brooklyn and specialize in aura photographs.

It all began to click for me when I took an aura picture of myself in a metaphysical bookstore in Cambridge, Massachusetts when I was 18.

My aura, at the time, was white – and the description informed me that that’s the color of a spiritual teacher.

I didn’t believe it at the time.

I wanted to be something else; like maybe a writer, lawyer, or professor.

But in the back of my mind it made sense with who my grandmother was. [See bio]

My grandmother was ahead of her times.

My father’s side of the family was the poorest in their district in Taipei at time, and my grandmother supported 10 children, washing clothes for others. At 43 years old she left her family and abusive, alcoholic spouse to join a Buddhist monastery.

She had to shave off her beautiful hair and don a robe that made her separate from society but equal to men at the time. That was the only way she could express what was inside her, which was a special spirit that projected more authority than was acceptable for women in Asian culture at the time.

She was illiterate because of the poverty in her surroundings but she was able to pick up Sanskrit more readily than traditional Chinese. I would say that both of us have the same reading level in Chinese. But her power with people came from a life of service.

She was called often to bury the dead and to bless rice paddies and homes of unsettled spirits who died suddenly and violently during the White Revolution in Taiwan. These were the country’s top talent: the intelligencia– that were murdered in plain sight in front of their families to silence them, so they wouldn’t rise up in rebellion against a rogue government that fleed mainland China after the Communists took over. In her practice she led so many souls to the Other Side that more than a thousand people came to her funeral. The number of handkerchiefs from the funerals she administered was staggering: enough to fill a room.

During her life she had the ability to read people and know their fates. In addition to their traditional cannons, most monks and nuns are trained in esoteric knowledge to help heal and even release people of their karmic suffering. Through face reading, meditation and compassion – without asking for money in return; however, those who have the privilege of being in their company can feel the vibration of their life’s dedication and appreciate why they are centered in prayer in the world beyond this one.

My gift

As a child I always could sense things without knowing why. I sometimes could read people’s thoughts and have dreams about things. I knew exactly when I would get into a good high school, and I knew exactly that my best friend would only come in second place as a finalist in the Westinghouse. I practiced visualizing getting into Harvard from age 4, and I spent hours learning how to travel outside my body to places in my imagination when I was 11.

I never really thought much about it until I met my grandmother when I was 12. I saw her get up every morning at 5 a.m., practice yoga, read scriptures and walk around people in Chinatown, who would fall at their knees when she showed up and try to worship her.

I didn’t understand enough at the time but when I saw her again at 16, I knew that we were same; in so many ways.

I have had many more opportunities than she did in her lifetime but what she achieved with the little education she had is astounding. She reached the equivalent of a “cardinal” level in her religion. I don’t understand how she did it because she had no education. Service to others was her only calling card.

She has since passed for more than twenty years, but she is with me always. In my memory and in my practice.

I am Christian now but I have both Christianity and Buddhism in my upbringing. I can see how different each world is, just like I can see how the West is different from the East.

Many of you are that way, too, if you have bicultural families or have extended families. The world is increasingly more mixed, these days, and that’s a good thing for human evolution and the growth of Consciousness among all sentient beings.

Summary

In opening a metaphysical store, I wanted to create a unique space, where individuals could meet and delve into the Unknown in a comfortable setting. It was in that store in Cambridge, MA, that I found crystals, the books, the knowledge, the insights to begin my journey, and I wanted to give others that same opportunity to find themselves.

Knowing your purpose should not be blocked by religion or traditions that tell you to avoid hidden knowledge. We should all have access to teachers, resources and tools to find out about our purpose, so that we can get on with the business of fulfilling it.

From being sensitive to being successful

… this is a blog about my journey with being a sensitive in a 3D world and I invite you to share yours.

Where it all began for me

One crisp October night in 1987 I was called out to the luminous night sky. A freshman at Harvard College, I remember that strange night, where all of a sudden, I felt heaviness in my heart and my ears buzzed nonstop with worry and fear. My proctor came out to see if I was okay. I was not. But I was too stunned to cry; I don’t even remember what I said to him. I just felt overwhelmed by the pain of that moment, unable to escape the Din. A heavy cloud of misery that descended on me and stayed with me.

It was the next day that newspapers headlined the day to Black October, one of the worst times in economic history. There began my journey of being able to hear and feel the screams and struggles of others far away.

I couldn’t concentrate on any homework that season.

Even though my head was buried in the books and I was taking notes, my mind was with those people calling me.

That year I almost flunked out. My confidence plummeted, because I thought I was consciously working so hard but I spiritually had checked out.

Every time I took the Amtrak Metroliner (a train) from my home in New Jersey to start another season of school, I’d have to take a Valium. When I was in school I didn’t know what it was, or where it was coming from, but I could feel and hear people. In so many cases, it was more than I really wanted to know.

I was an archaeology major then and things only intensified when I visited ancient battlefields, cemeteries and other fated grounds. I began to study everything I could get my hands on to understand what I going through. I didn’t know but I dove into astrology, metaphysics, and early religions, anything I could get my hands on to understand what I was going through but not a lot of books existed at the time.

I was using chemical analysis on religious artefacts and reliquaries and spent 6 years in scientific laboratories, using mass spectrometers and other methods at the National Bureau of Standards (now called NIST), Smithsonian, and the Fogg Museum, trying to authenticate objects, meanwhile my hands and instincts were telling me another story. As I discovered, and as Arthur Koestler puts it, “Science allows us to glimpse [only] fragments of reality.”  No pun intended but there is always more than meets the eye.

Fragments of reality: the physical realm is only one aspect

I never felt satisfied knowing that, as archaeologists, we can only sample 1% of the surviving remnants of a culture, and then proceed to write authoritative conclusions about an indigenous people.

During the two years I took off to take care of my family and travel, I saw that museums and universities only cared about publishing the scientific view (however limited and distorted), and their administrators only concerned themselves with charging admission.

Never the Truth.

I was more impressed with the entrepreneurs, such as antique gallery owners or scientists and chemical engineers working Corning Glass and Dow Chemical, that I met along the way.

Even books written by amateurs with a passion were so much better than academic press publications. They seemed more open-minded, were more willing to grant you permission to test their collections, and leaned more towards “making sense” out of data rather than complicating it.

From hearing your voices to finding you

Life didn’t improve from the time I graduated to my first job.

People didn’t understand me. I was so different from others. They ostracized me.

No matter how hard I worked, someone found a way to keep me from a raise or stab me in the back. I could only respond with indifference and hide my pain.

I didn’t know this at the time but my aura was so interweaved with others that my energy always confused people.

Since people tend to reject what they can’t understand or feel is different, I began to hide who I was, my education and all my accomplishments to blend in.

I watched with despair when other people with less substance got promoted.

Bad luck surrounded me.

Countless number of times, I’d be triggering all kinds of authorities, including Scotland Yard, the Egyptian police, and the CFA Institute, and getting in trouble for no reason, except being involved with troubled clients, wrong place/wrong timing, or a case of mistaken identity, respectively.

It was only until I was 26 that I met a teacher by accident through an interviewer, with whom I shared my gift of reading. It was this teacher that was able to take me under her wing and teach me how to use my gift. And it’s my goal here share with you some of those lessons, as well as ones I discovered on my own.
